What a trip!!!!!! I wish I stayed for longer though, 2 intense days of walking, shopping, sight seeing, eating, drinking and well yeah……!!! First time in New York and I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that city, I want to move out there…….RIGHT NOW!!!
Doesn’t take much convincing me, I love London, but its nothing special to be honest! Its only cause everyone I know lives here, which in reality doesn’t make it a reason for me to stay! Anyways……….I am still thinking about it…………When I decide to up ship, I shall let you know :p
Flew with BA from Heathrow Terminal 5 – so T5 is a nice terminal, only issue is that the boarding gates are a fast train ride away, meaning its in another building, which takes 20 minutes for you to get there! Lucky we made it there on time, don’t want to be missing flights now!! Service overall to JFK was pleasant, the staff were really nice, very attentive. On the way back however, they were a bit stuck up, rude, and this may sound bad, but they were all pretty old, like in their mid 50’s! They spoke to everyone like they were kids, and that is just plain darn right uncalled for! I know a few people have made complaints!
Landed at JFK, shared a yellow cab with a girl who was staying on 10th ave, we stayed on 8th ave at Row NYC! Ok so I read the reviews on this hotel, some were bad, the recent ones were fairly good, went with my instinct, and booked it through expedia, also received a nice generous 10% coupon. Got to Row NYC, no sign posts on where to check in, the door man said “you need to go up to lobby” so we did, and what a queue!!! Not only that, the music was very loud, like you’re in a nightclub, but I didn’t even see or read about it!!! Took 45 minutes to check in, the staff are annoying, stuck up, they really cant be bothered to do their job! It pissed me right off, so I didn’t even bother to wait for her to call me over, I just went and said “unacceptable service” another gentlemen came over and quickly gave me my key and off I went. It’s not that difficult now is it!!! If they hate their jobs so much, getttt lost!!!! The rooms are tiiiinnyyyyy……no space to move around, the bathroom is even more cramped. But it was only for three nights, sleeping and nothing else. Next time round, no way!!!
I will write individual reviews on where I went, sights I visited, restaurants I ate at, otherwise this post will get extremely long, and you may yawn a tad bit!
My trip to the states, was short yes, I wish it was longer, however I will go back and enjoy the nightlife a bit more. Also cause my cousin whom I went with is currently pregnant, things to do were limited, as she got tired quite a bit too. Nonetheless next time will be more food and nightlife related 🙂 Also will probably make a trip to Las Vegas as well.
